The ECSACOG curriculum progresses from foundational knowledge and basic procedures through to advanced surgical techniques, subspecialty exposure, and ultimately independent fellowship-level practice. Each year builds systematically on the last, assessed by formative and summative milestones.

Clinical Knowledge
Deep understanding of O&G pathophysiology, pharmacology and evidence-based management across all stages of reproductive life.
Surgical Skills
Progressive mastery of operative techniques from basic to complex, including minimally invasive approaches and emergency surgery.
Research & Scholarship
Critical appraisal, research design and the ability to contribute original knowledge to the specialty through audit and academic work.
Communication
Effective, empathetic communication with patients, families, colleagues and the multidisciplinary team in complex clinical contexts.
Leadership
Health system navigation, team leadership, departmental management and advocacy for quality maternal and reproductive health services.
